| As much as I enjoy the xanga blogging thing I have decided to start a new blog. If you are interested in keeping up to date it is www.mauermusings.blogspot.com. I will likely post on xanga rarely now:( So sorry to leave, but I will keep my xanga page to read others' blogs that I like to keep up with.
Blessings! Jen M.

| For those who are interested...
My parents' table on Christmas Eve morning

The same table full of family! Both Katy & Bethany are engaged this Christmas...I am a bridesmaid for both!
A lovely shot of Noah & I 1st thing Christmas morning...Anna at least waited until about 8:30 to wake us. Not bad considering her excitement that we were all in PA for Christmas this year:) (for some reason Noah looks like he has serious tooth decay...haha)
Christmas dinner at my Uncle Doug & Aunt Nan's
Cute pic of Mom & I
I think he's such a stud;)
Now for our Open House which was on Sunday, Dec. 30th...
Noah's older sister Amy made these 3 amazing cheesecakes. 2 were berry (as you can see) & the third was a turtle cheesecake. I HAD to get pictures of the masterpieces before they were destroyed by our hungry visitors:)
GREAT picture of my niece, Grace
Grandma Schultz & Noah's Aunt Nan (not my Aunt Nan from Christmas in PA)
We also had a big party on New Years Eve. We had mostly family & the young adults from our church. Jeff, my Dad, my sister Ann & Jay (our cousin) playing our new Wii that my mom found used online.
My cousin Sarah w/ Jon & April's baby, Jocelyn
Some of our closest friends (from left): Jen, Ashley, Sarah (cousin), Charity, Nick, Chelsea (cousin), Ben (cousin)
It was a wonderful holiday season! We got some good rest, saw lots of family and ate too much...just as I'd hoped. Hope yours was just as beautiful! | | |
| ::: I finished my Medical Terminology course yesterday! It feels really nice (already) to be able to come home without that hanging over my head. I can focus completely on making yummy food, cleaning/decorating my cozy little home & serving my hard-working husband. I know it sounds lame, but these are things I miss doing!
::: Noah has 1 more week of school & then we leave for PA on Saturday. We are visiting this special person and her family on our way down to good 'ole Lancaster.
::: My sister is getting married on Jan. 26th! It's coming up quickly and I am very excited for her:)
::: Our tree is up, at least half of the presents are wrapped & I only have 5 more to buy. All of which can be bought online so no more insanity @ the malls! The only thing I dislike about Christmas:(
::: Christmas always makes me want children, but I am holding out for God's perfect timing...however, I do kinda wish we would accidentally get pregnant and have to trust God THAT way...instead of trusting that He is going to help us wait until I get a better job or Noah finishes school........ya know.......either way:)
::: We found out that we can't paint our guest bedroom as soon as we had hoped...SOME of the walls are newly drywalled behind the paneling...but SOME of the walls have plaster walls behind the paneling:( So...much more work than we had hoped and much more money that we simply DON'T have. Oh well, these projects always turn into more than we think in the beginning. At least we have a good idea for when we can afford the room re-do!
That's all for now folks;)
